Error when calling application using OLE ALVIEWER.APP

If documents must be displayed in the custom application, contact the OLE application vendor to resolve the communication issue.

Alternatively, you can reset the display protocol to standard mode so attachments open with the default viewer or can be downloaded locally.

Steps to reset to standard:

1. In OAAD, search for the attachment using the object ID shown after “AttachmentFor.”
2. Note the Content Repository ID.
3. In OAC0, open the matching repository.
4. Double-click the Protocol field or use OAA3 to select it.
5. For each function (Display, Retrieval, Store, etc.), check if a custom protocol is set.
6. If a general ([*]) protocol exists, reset it first.
7. Select the relevant Document Class (e.g., PDF).
8. Change Communication Type to Standard Communication and save.
