Timer to close inactive routes between gateways
Parameter Description
Connections that run over a wide area network cause high running costs. Connections of this type are realized in an SAP environment using a SAProuter.
The time period with which inactive gateway connections are closed is 30 minutes by default ( gw/gw_disconnect ). This is too long for WAN connections of this type. Therefore, connections that use a SAProuter are handled separately.
If a connection that uses a SAProuter is not used, this connection is closed after a certain time. This period is determined by the value of this parameter.
Value 0 deactivates the check of these connections.
Connections between gateways in a local area network (LAN), which do not usually run through a SAProuter, are not affected by this parameter.
This check can be performed a maximum of every gw/max_sleep seconds. It therefore makes no sense to specify a value smaller than gw/max_sleep.
