Maximum number of connections per destination
Parameter Description
This parameter configues the number of TCP/IP connections to a remote gateway or ABAP server that can be opened in parallel. In particular with WAN connections this can signifcantly increase performance with RFC calls that are made in parallel. Each connection is managed as a client or a remote gateway, depending on its type. You therefore need to set the maximum number of remote gateways (rdisp/max_gateways) and the maximum number of gateway clients (gw/max_sys) to large enough values.
