You are in the midst of upgrading/patching activities using the SAP Software Update Manager (SUM) tool and out of sudden, you are been prompted with the password of sidadm user.
This is actually happened to us because there’s weekly password changes for user sidadm.
So, what you need to do then?
As mentioned in SAP Note 2647076 – How to change sidadm password in SUM tool,
- Stop any SAPup Processes that are running in the server.
- Re-register the SUM with the SAP Host Agent according to the SUM guide.
- Launch the SUM GUI in the web browser.
- You can now enter the new sidadm password when prompted.
