
You are getting below message while configuring the Alerts in SAP IQ Cockpit.
A technical user has not been defined. Alerts will be disabled until a technical user is specified.
Solution
You must create the Technical User in SAP IQ Cockpit before you can configure the Alert functions.
Prerequisite
• The IQC_TECHNICAL_USER_POLICY login policy exists.
• MANAGE ANY USER system privilege.
• The SAP IQ system is running, registered, and authenticated.
• In a multiplex configuration, the coordinator is running.
• In a multiplex, you are logged on to the multiplex system, not a node within the multiplex.
• Supports role-based security.
1. Go to the below directory,
$SYBASE\COCKPIT-4\plugins\IQ-CMAP
2. Double click the cockpit_monitor_role_based_privileges_setup.sql script.
3. Once done, go to Explore tab > IQ Servers > Security > Role-Based > Users. Right click Users and choose New.
4. On below screen, define the resource (your DB), the username and select the option, Create as technical user.
5. Define the password and select the login policy, IQC_TECHNICAL_USER_POLICY. Click Finish to complete your activities.
