You are looking a way to get user’s installed SAP GUI version. Of course, the easiest way is to directly ask the user. 🙂
Apart from above step, you can use the following methods to find the installed SAP GUI version and these methods are workable if the user is logged in to the SAP system.
Method 1
Launch transaction code SM04. Click on Change Layout (CTRL+F8). From the below screenshot, click on SAP GUI Version and add it into the displayed columns. Click OK.
You will see the SAP GUI Version as below.
Method 2
Use function module TH_USER_LIST.
