Symptom
When you open an RFC connection, the system issues the following error message:
LOCATION SAP-Gateway on host <host> / <service> ERROR max no of cpic clients exceeded (<max_sys>) exceeded TIME <DATE> RELEASE <RELEASE> COMPONENT SAP-Gateway RC 633
Reason and Prerequisites
The number of programs that can be connected to the gateway in parallel is exceeded.
Solution
Increase the value of the gw/max_sys parameter in RZ10, or insert a new line into the instance profile of the server.
