Name of Frontend Printer not Found, using Default Printer

Symptom

While you trying to print from SAPGUI, you received this error ” Name of frontend printer not found, using default printer”.

Solution

1. Login to the client operating system level (in this example, Windows XP), go to Control Panel > Printer and Faxes. Check the default printer.

2. At SAPGUI level, go to transaction SP01. Check with the affected spool no. Tick on the spool no. and execute the icon with “print with changed parameters”.

3. On the Output Device / Frontend Printer. Choose the printer as same with the default printer that been set on the client Windows operating system. Now, try to print again.
