You are getting below error message while doing the object editing in transaction code SE80.
No valid change license exists for namespace /ABC/
Choose ‘Display object’ or ‘Cancel’
Solution
The solution is mentioned in SAP Note 2503211 – No valid change license available for namespace.
Open transaction code SM30 and enter V_TRNSPACE on the table field. Click on Maintain.
Click OK
Remove the last digit of the license number, save it. Then, add back the removed number and save it again.
Note
- If the above steps doesn’t work, please use SQL tool to manually insert them into the table.
- For namespace that belongs to SAP or third party then you only need a repair license as the ‘Namespace role’ is ‘Recipient’ (C)
- For SAP namespace this will be provided to you, but for third party you need to contact the vendor
- For own namespace you need a developer license and this can be requested using SAP note 2006427 (in this case the ‘Namespace role’ is ‘Producer’ (P))
