Parameter Description
The parameter is set by the system automatically and identifies an instance uniquely. A table that assigns the instance names to existing TCP connections is set up in the messager server at runtime.

Caution
The host name can be maximum 13 characters long.
Default Value
$(SAPLOCALHOST)_$(SAPSYSTEMNAME)_$$ This then returns a character string in the format [Host Name]_[System Name(SID)]_[Instance Number]
Who is permitted to make changes?
A change to the parameter is not recommended. This can cause problems with the whole communication of the system.
