You tried to import the profiles (DEFAULT, INSTANCE & START PROFILE) from the operating system but end up with below error.
Start profile \\HOSTNAME\sapmnt\SID\SYS\profile\START_DVEBMGS00_HOSTNAME Could not be read by file; Therefore could not be checked. (Server = HOSTNAME_SID_00 )
Solution
This is the workaround and it has been tested working fine. You may need to manually import the SAP profiles.
1. Execute transaction code RZ10. As an example, the START profile is having the issue. First, you need to create the START profile. So, in transaction code RZ10, enter the START profile name as per in operating system level. Choose Create.
2. You will get the profile management data page. Enter the short description and choose profile type as startup profile (for instance profile, choose instance profile). Choose Save.
3. Next, go to Profile > Import. At here, you need to locate the START profile from the operating system.
4. Once done, save, activate and restart the SAP system. You can now use the SAP profile!
