UPDATE: The SAP Upgrade Dependency Analyzer (UDA) is now part in Maintenance Planner.
You can use the upgrade dependency analyzer to check the existence of upgrade dependencies between two separately installed SAP systems in your system landscape. The result of this check is a dependency statement that informs you of any known upgrade dependencies between these systems.
Benefits
• Simplification of upgrade planning
• Fast and easy access to needed dependency information for SAP products
• Reduction of risks of late problem discovery
• Reuse of customer specific system landscape definition
Step 1: Launch the Maintenance Planner and locate your SID. Click on Plan (ensure both Sync and Verify steps are done)

Step 2: Complete the steps till you reach the Download Files stage. At there, go to Utilities and select Check Upgrade Dependencies.

Step 3: Enter the system ID for analysis. You can have max 5 system ID.

Step 4: The output

Below is the old method of getting the UDA report. Please use above steps as SAP recommendation.
How to Execute UDA
1. Access to the http://service.sap.com/uda page. Click on Start Application. Below the button, there is link for the UDA documentation. It is advisable to read them first before you start executing the UDA.
[SCENARIO] You have 2 SAP systems in your current landscape which are SAP ERP 6 non-EHP and SAP NetWeaver 7.0 with Business Intelligence functions activated. Your organization plan to upgrade the SAP ERP 6 non-EHP to EHP7 but no plan for upgrading the SAP NetWeaver 7.0. From the technical perspective, you want to know if the upgrade of SAP ERP 6 EHP7 will have impacts or dependencies on the SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (Business Intelligence).
2. On this screen, under the Target Component field, will be the target system you wish to upgrade. As above scenario, enter the Product, Version and Instance as below.

3. Once the data entered, you will see the information at your right panel side.

4. Now, under Existing Component, enter the Product, Version and Instance for the SAP NetWeaver 7.0. The UDA will now checks whether an upgrade to the Target Component will have an impact on one or more components in your existing SAP systems landscape.

5. On the right panel, you will get the information on the Existing Component.

6. Now, comes to the most important part – the RESULT! You may click on the given SAP Note for further information.
Independent upgrade not possible
After the upgrade to the target component, some or all standard cross-system functions will no longer work. It is required to also upgrade the existing component you have specified, or you may have to manually implement those cross-system functions in a different way.
This statement is subject to the Upgrade Dependency Analyzer Disclaimer.
