You keep getting the message “Name or password is incorrect” continuously showing instead of detailed login error messages.
As an example, even if the user is expired, you will getting the message of the incorrect password instead of user expired message.
This is occurred when you are log in using the SAP GUI.
Solution
Refer to SAP Note 2969462 – Message “Name or password is incorrect” continuously showing instead of detailed login error messages & parameter login/show_detailed_errors.
Check and change the profile parameter login/show_detailed_errors to default value 1.
Note: It’s depend on how your SAP security team manage the parameter. It would be good for the security enhancement but at the same time, it could bring some difficulties to SAP security team to deal with the message.
