SBAL_STATISTICS: Application log Statistics

The report SBAL_STATISTICS provides overview and detailed statistic information about all application logs which are generated by many applications in the SAP system. This report can be executed via transaction code SE38 or SA38.

Statistics Collections

  • Time Creation
    • To get number of logs for every month
  • Clients
    • To get number of logs for every client
  • Objects, Subobject, messages
    • Detailed overview based on object and subobject of logs
      • OBJECT, SUBOJECT (defined in TCODE SLG0)
      • MIN DATE – the oldest creation date ( highlighted field is older than 180 days)
      • MAX DATE – the latest creation date ( highlighted field is older than 180 days)
      • Logs Cnt – number of logs
      • MsgCnt All – number of messages
      • MsgCnt E, W, I, S, A – number of message with type Error, Warning, Information, Success, Cancel
      • reached exp date – number of logs they reached expiry date and can be deleted via SLG2 – only logs that have reached their expiration date
      • and can be deleted – number of logs can be deleted via SLG2 – And logs that can be deleted before the expiration date
      • cannot be deleted – number of logs cannot be deleted via SLG2 – Non-deletable logs (display only). Such logs can be deleted only be the application that created the logs.
      • % – number of % logs in current client.
  • Users
    • To get number of logs for every user.
  • Programs
    • To get number of logs for program.
  • Transaction Code
    • To get number of logs for transaction code.
  • Expiration Date
    • To get number of logs for each option of expiration date (SLG2)
      • Only logs that have reached their expiration date
      • And logs that can be deleted before the expiration date
      • Non-deletable logs (display only)
  • RELID data, BALDAT
    • To get number records with different RELID in BALDAT

Statistic Log(s)

  • Delete all statistic data
    • This function deletes all historical APPL_LOG logs with statistic data. The current statistic data can be generated by this report.
  • Display statistic data
    • Display statistic data (logs) logs can be displayed also by SLG1 or SLGD (Object: APPL_LOG)
  • Generate data
    • This function collects data and create the log. Every execution of this function creates new log with the statistics data. In case the report is run on regular base you will data that can be compared in time.
