SICF Service cannot be reached: Error code 403 & for the reason Forbidden.

You are getting below error message when launching an SICF service from SAP GUI.

Service cannot be reached

What has happened?
URL call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.

 
Note
The termination occurred in system with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.
 
What can I do?
Select a valid URL.

Solution

The issue was due to inactive SICF service. So, how do we find the inactive service?

You can copy the URL from the web browser and as for this example, the inactive service is the personas_api.

https://itsiti.com:8000/sap/bc/personas/personas_api?sap-client=888

Go to transaction code SICF and under service name, enter the *personas* or *personas_api*. Click on Apply and you will get the service list. Right click and select on Activate Service. This will activate the SICF service.

Now, refresh the URL again.
