When you are checking the transactional rfc logs via transaction code SM58, you see that the tRFC logs are failing with error, “Error when opening an RFC connection”.
Solution
Double click the system under the Target System and you will be automatically point to RFC destination page. On this page, choose the Connection Test. Verify the connection test is working fine. Else, you need to ensure,
• Target system is available (up & running)
• The RFC destination is correctly configured
• The gateway is working fine
Alternatively, go to transaction code SM59, search the RFC destination as in Target System and execute the Connection Test.
