SP01: Unable to print character

Symptom

This might be happen after the Unicode conversion. You’ll faced error as per below when printing some documents.

      SAP spool error log
      =====================

Print request processing log

Character converter active when first problem occurred

Data was saved with character set xxxx
Data will be converted to character set xxx (synt = xxxx)

Print request data could not be processed completely

Unable to print character 2 (Page 3, line 5)
Unable to print character 3 (Page 2, line 2)
Unable to print character 2 (Page 5, line 4)

Print output may not be as intended

Solution

1. Verify and change the Device Type (from Output Device) to the correct type (example, code page).
