SPAM/SAINT: Internal Error – Message Add to Protocol

Symptom

During support packages import, upgrade in transaction code SPAM & SAINT, you encountered below error.

Solution

1. The program incorrectly attempts to write to the upgrade directory DIR_PUT/tmp. However, no such directory exists. Create the directory specified under DIR_PUT/tmp (e.g. /usr/SAP/upgrade/tmp).

2. One of the log files that you want to create cannot be opened in the directory /usr/sap/trans/tmp. Check on /usr/sap/trans/tmp/IMODPROT.. Correct the owners and/or authorizations of the log file in the directory /usr/sap/trans/tmp.
