You are performing system copy activity with the SAP software provisioning manager (SWPM) but stuck with below error message,

No suitable database found on server. SOLUTION: Contact SAP Support.

Solution

Of course, you do not need to contact SAP support.

First of all, depends on which approach you have taken, i.e backup restore or attached and detached. In this example, we are using the backup restore step. So, in our case specifically, you must perform the database restoration first before you can do the database instance SWPM activity.

Do the database restore (example on Microsoft SQL Server).

Wait till it complete and resume your SWPM activity. If the database is still undetectable, click on Back (probably 2 times Back) and click Next in order to detect the database instance again)
