“Table” is locked because a restart log exists
Message no. E2215

Diagnosis

Table is locked against changes because a database operation has not yet been completed (a restart log still exists).

Procedure

Wait a few minutes or check the table using the database utility (function Utilities -> Database utility) – please look at the information on the table in the database utility.

Please refer to SAP Note 1029942 – Conversion terminates due to incorrect enhancement category.

Do read the note and raise incident to SAP if you have doubt. Below steps are taken from the note above, remember to take a BACKUP of the table before executing the activity.

  1. Unlock the table in transaction SE14.
  2. Rename the QCM table in the original table.
  3. Delete the QCM8 table from this table.
  4. As user DDIC in transaction SE14, reconstruct the runtime objects from the database.
