Whenever you tried to execute transaction ST12, you’ll get the message, “Transaction ST12 does not exist”. In order to overcome this, you will need to implement the addon of ST-A/PI. This exercise was done in ECC 6.0x (SAP_APPL 60x).
1. Verify SPAM/SAINT patch level. The only prerequisite for ST-A/PI is a minimum SPAM/SAINT level.
• 36 for SAP basis release 4.0B-4.6D
• 20 for basis >= 700 and EBP/CRM 4.00 (basis 620)
• 11 for SAP basis release 6.10-6.40.
2. Open http://service.sap.com/supporttools and click on ‘Installations/Upgrades’ behind ‘ST-A/PI’ in the right-hand info. Select the proper addon release and download the file.
3. ST-A/PI is small and does not interfere with productive coding. It can be implemented anytime and there is no necessity to log off users. Warning popups regarding open BW data extraction requests can be ignored because the addon does not contain any BI data structures. Call transaction SAINT in client 000. Choose ‘Installation Package > Load Package > From frontend’ to upload the addon file. The addon should now appear in the table control ‘Installable addons’, on the entry screen or after pressing the ‘Start’ button. Mark the line with ‘ST-A/PI’ and choose ‘Continue’ several times to start the installation process. Confirm with ‘Finish’. Then proceed with the next point ‘Procedure after addon implementation’.
4. After implementation of ST-A/PI, restart report RTCCTOOL from SE38.
5. Now, try to execute the transaction ST12
