Parameter
ztta/roll_extension_nondia
Short text
Quota in extended memory for non-dialog processes
Parameter Description
This parameter specifies the maximum amount of extended memory to be occupied by non-dialog work processes. Previously, non-dialog processes (BTC, UPD, UP2, SPO, etc.) and dialog processes were handled in the same way. You could not allocate separate EM quotas for dialog users and background processing users.
The new profile parameters ztta/roll_extension_dia and ztta/roll_extension_nondia allow you to set EM quotas that differentiate between the work process types.
To remain compatible with the “old” ztta/roll_extension parameter, the following rule applies:
If ztta/roll_extension_dia or ztta/roll_extension_nondia are not set (DEFAULT.PFL or instance profile), the value in ztta/roll_extension (old procedure) applies for ALL work process types. If, on the other hand, ztta/roll_extension_(non)dia is set, the value in ztta/roll_extension is overwritten for the work process type in question.
