SAP is strongly recommended that users are enabling the automatic log backups in the HANA database environment. This is to prevent the log area space from filling until the file system is full. File system full can freeze the database system and make your SAP system not responding.
From the HANA Studio, go to Configuration tab and locate the enable_auto_log_backup parameter using the search filter.
Double click the parameter and from below dialog box, you can define the active value.

| yes | The default setting is yes (automatic log backup is active). |
| no | This value will disable automatic log backups. |
Click on save to activate the changes.
