How to Get the Table Size History in HANA DB

You are getting requirement from the functional team to obtain the history of table size in SAP HANA database. In this example, we are going to find out the history of table USR02.

1. Execute transaction code DB02. Under System Information, double click on Large Tables. Enter the Schema Name to SAPABAP1 or you can leave it to blank. Now click on Apply Selection. It is advisable to set Max. No. of Hits lowest as possible (default is 100) and in this example, we put it at 10. This will reduce the time to load the table list.

2. Once the list come out, click on the Table Name and choose Set Filter. Set the filter to table name, USR02.

3. Change the Max. No. of Hits to 999999999 (We just put the numbers here :-)). Click on Apply Selection and you will get the output of table USR02.

4. Now, how do we get the table size history? From step 3 screenshot, you notice there are buttons on month, day and hour. Click on any of the button depending on your requirements. Example below is the history of USR02 table for 3 months.
