Purpose
You use this program PRGN_CREATE_FIORI_BACKENDROLES to create a back-end role for selected Fiori front-end roles, or to copy them locally to a new role, and to copy the corresponding role menu of the front-end role. If the role already exists, the role menu is deleted and replaced by the role menu of the front-end role.

Selection
First select the copy mode:
- On the front-end server and are copying local roles.
- On a server with integrated front end and back end, and are copying local roles.
- On the back-end server and are copying roles from the front-end server. Enter the RFC destination of the front-end server from which you want to copy the role menus.
In the role selection, specify one or more roles (you can only use an asterisk at the end of the search string) from the front-end server.
The name of the roles to be created comprises the name of the front-end role and a name conversion, by means of you deleting or adding a prefix. If a local copy is made, the name of the role must be changed by a prefix.
- You can use Delete Prefix to delete a name component at the start of a role. If the prefix is not part of the name, you get an error message.
- You can use Add Prefix to add a name component at the start of a role. Note that the role name is limited to 30 characters.
The following options are available:
- When copying the role menu, you can adapt the menu entries for SAP Fiori tile catalogs:
- When copying from the front-end server, the RFC destination of the front-end server is set as the location of the front-end server. When copying from a local role, ‘local front-end server’ is entered.
- The applications of the Fiori tile catalogs are added to role menu as sub nodes of the Fiori tile catalog.
- The profile and the authorizations of the back-end roles can be deleted and recreated. Recreated authorizations are generated from the authorization default values of the applications in the menu, and open fields are created with full authorization. The profiles of the roles are then generated. If you do not select this option, you have to adapt the authorizations in the PFCG.
Menu entries for invalid applications are deleted on import.
