The ALE Recovery process is carried out in two steps:
- Determining Recovery Objects
- Processing Recovery Objects
The process Determining Recovery Objects is triggered in the reset system. The date and time of the reset system is notified to all the systems affected through the message type RCYRSP. All the IDocs exchanged with the reset system are identified and returned in the message type RCYRSP. This information is compared with the existing information in the reset system. This process identifies which IDocs are missing from this system and which further tasks for specific objects need to be carried out. This information is sent to partner systems in the message type RCYLIST.
After the process Determining Recovery Objects has been completed, the transaction Processing Recovery Objects can be started in the partner systems. Recovery objects are based on IDocs and on the application documents generated from IDocs. IDocs can be processed directly from this transaction. Application documents must be processed manually in the relevant application transactions. Application documents are then flagged as having been processed.
