Purpose
Circumstances have resulted in a large number of messages having the status “Waiting” in the overview of send requests (SOST). However, you do not want these messages to be sent. In SOST, it is possible to delete such send requests from the queue, but it is difficult to delete a large number of send requests simultaneously as this is very time-intensive.
You use report RSBCS_DELETE_QUEUE to delete waiting send requests from the queue.
Prerequisites
A large number of documents have been sent from an application, either by mistake or for test purposes. They have status “Waiting” and are not to leave the system.
Selection
The report RSBCS_DELETE_QUEUE provides a test mode flag and allows you to select by send date or time, sender, address type (for example, FAX, INT), or document title. You can also select messages (normal e-mails, faxes) or status notifications (DSN, MDN) separately.
Output
Number of deleted send requests or status notifications.
Notes
As when deleting in SOST, the send requests are no longer displayed in SOST after the report has run productively. You can, however, still see them by choosing Goto->Deleted Send Requests (with status “Errors”). Note that you cannot select the send requests there by using the delete date or by “Deleted Today”, since RSBCS_DELETE_QUEUE does not set the corresponding dates in the status log table for performance reasons.
RSBCS_DELETE_QUEUE enables you to delete from the SAPconnect queue, thus changing the status from “Waiting” to “Errors”. This is only usually necessary in exceptional cases. Other send data is not deleted. Use report RSBCS_REORG for general deletion of send data.
Please refer to SAP Note 1244680 – Deleting send requests from the queue for further details.
