RSPPFCLEAN: PPF: Remove Actions Containing Errors

Purpose

The actions selected in the selection criteria can be checked against five criteria.

  • Is the application associated with the action still in customizing?
  • Is the associated action profile still in customizing?
  • Is the associated action definition still in customizing?
  • Does the associated application object still exist?
  • Does the associated processing object (medium) still exist?

Use the selection boxes to define which checks take place in the current report run.

If one of the criteria above is missing, this is known as an inconsistency. The action is then proposed to be deleted.

Caution:
The processing status (scheduled, processed, processed with errors) is ignored by the check or the deletion of an action. It is also not possible to delete valid actions without errors using this report. This is done using the report RSPPFPROCESS (transaction SPPFP).

Prerequisites

Actions are created by applications that use Post Processing Framework (PPF). A prerequisite for this is successful customizing and configuration using transaction SPPFCADM. The actions themselves are created in the corresponding application.

Selection

For an explanation of each of the selection options, see the respective F1 help.

  • Test mode
    • This option is selected by default. If the test mode is active, no actions are deleted. If the test mode is disabled, any actions with inconsistencies are deleted.
  • Detailed log
    • This option is selected by default. The results list contains every checked action (even those without errors). If this checkbox is deselected, only a reduced results list is displayed, containing only those actions with inconsistencies.

Caution: The selection screen has five checkboxes for selecting which checks to run. If none of the checkboxes are selected, no checks are performed.

Output

The output of the checks is a table. The “GUID of Action” column contains the GUID of the PPF action that was checked. If an inconsistency was found for this action, this is indicated by an “X” in the column in question. If, for example, the application object of this action no longer exist, an “X” is entered in the “Application Object” column for the GUID of this action.

  • In dialog
    • Actions are selected in accordance with the selection criteria, checked, and the results list displayed in an ALV.
  • In the background
    • Actions are selected in accordance with the selection criteria and checked. The results list is displayed on the selected output device.
