RSXMB_CONFIG_PP_NEW : Technical Configuration for Principal Propagation

Principal propagation has the following technical prerequisites, which are created during installation:

  1. The system user PIPPUSER with the role SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER must be in the system.
  2. The RFC destination SAPXIPP[client] with user PIPPUSER as the logon user in the destination must be in the system.

You use the Restore function (F8) to correct the system user mentioned above, and to create the destination again. By doing so, the technical type, the role, and the password for the user are reset. The destination is initially deleted before being created again with the corresponding user and password.

NOTE:
If central user management is active, you have to manually create the system user PIPPUSER and the RFC destination. Maintain the following data in the destination:

  • Name: SAPXIPP[client]
  • Connection Type: 3
  • Client: [client]
  • User: PIPPUSER
  • Password: [Password of PIPPUSER]

Leave the following technical settings blank: Target Host and System Number.

The following configuration steps are also necessary:

Integration Server

In the inbound channel, you must set the Propagate Principal flag in the corresponding sender agreement in the Integration Directory.

In the outbound channel, you must set the Propagate Principal flag in the corresponding receiver agreement in the Integration Directory.

Integration Engine (Sender)

You must maintain the Outbound Interfaces for Principal Propagation table, accessed via the Sender Configuration function (F6). The Sender Integration Engine only forwards the users with an entry in this table to the Integration Server. It is possible to make generic entries.

Integration Engine (Receiver)

No other configuration is necessary at the receiver.
