This report provides an overview of the reorganization status of PI messages in a client. There are separate outputs for messages to be archived and messages to be deleted. For messages that are to be deleted, the output is broken down into synchronous and asynchronous messages.

An evaluation of the IDoc adapter data (IDX5 references) can also be included in the output.
Prerequisites
To execute this report, your user must be assigned the following authorization:
Object: S_XMB_AUTH
SXMBAREA: MESSAGE
ACTVT: 03 or 02
This authorization is included in the role SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_ABAP as standard.
Execution
The report interface gives you the option of restricting the set of messages to be checked to either messages to be deleted or messages to be archived. In the default setting, all messages are checked.
If you want to evaluate the objects as well, you can select the IDX5 References checkbox. IDX5 references create a link between IDoc numbers and PI message IDs and can be deleted at a later time. For more information about IDX5 references, see the documentation of the Parameters RELATED_OBJECTS with subparameter IDX5_DELAYED and SAP Note 1405871.
Result
The output is divided into the following blocks: Evaluation, Overview, Retention Periods, Archiving, Delete, and IDX5 References (if the option IDX5 References has been selected).

Evaluation Block
This section contains the following information:
- Time of evaluation
- User who executed the evaluation
- Client for which the evaluation was executed
- Server where the evaluation was executed
- Name of the active table container
Overview Block
This section contains information about the total number of messages:
- Total number of all PI messages in the system (cross-client)
- Total number of PI messages in the current client
- Total number of PI messages in the current client that are still to be reorganized. (This can differ from the total number of PI messages in the current client if you have defined Deletion Procedure for the persistence layer of the switch procedure.)
Retention Periods Block
This section contains the values that are set for the retention periods and the resulting start of the retention period. The output is in the user’s time zone and is broken down as follows:
- Messages to be archived
- Messages to be deleted, asynchronous
- Messages to be deleted, synchronous, without errors
- Messages to be deleted, synchronous, with errors
Archiving and Deletion Blocks
These sections output the number of messages to be deleted or archived that are within and outside the defined retention periods.
Note that the number of messages outside the retention period is output with and without the message and adapter status taken into account. If the number that does not take the message and adapter status into account differs considerably from the number that does factor in these status values, this indicates that a large number of messages do not yet have a final message or adapter status. In this case, run the report RSXMB_SHOW_STATUS: Statistics Message Status Overview to get a detailed overview of the distribution of the message status values.
IDX5 References Block
This section is displayed if the IDX5 References checkbox was selected. The following are displayed:
- The values that are set for the retention period and the resulting start of the retention period relative to the user’s time zone
- The number of IDX5 references that are within and outside the retention period
or IDX5 references that are outside the retention period, the number of related PI messages displayed that have been deleted and have not yet been deleted is displayed.
