Purpose
When you archive long text logs using archiving object S_AUT_LTXT, orphaned entries from table DBTABLOG that belong to table STXL might remain. These entries cannot be evaluated by the Audit Log nor can they be archived. You cannot delete these orphaned entries with this program, S_AUT_ARCH_STXL_CLEAN.
Prerequisites
You execute the program after a complete archiving session when the delete program has been completed.
Selection
You need to set the log date to the same value as that of the previously executed archiving session.
Set the test indicator to run an analysis of the table entries that you want to delete. If the text indicator isn’t set, the superfluous entries are deleted from table DBTABLOG.
If you select the “Detail Log” checkbox, each deleted table record is logged individually. Without the checkbox, only a summary is issued. Note that the output of the detail log in background processing may lead to large volumes of data in the spool.
Output
The report issues a list of the entries to be deleted or a summary.
Activities
Try to schedule the report for background processing as long runtimes are possible.
