SWPM (HANA Client) - cannot extract Python/DLLs/

You are getting below error while installing the SAP HANA Client using the SWPM.

Error during execution of HdbCmdClazz 'INSTALL_CLIENT' : 
class com.sap.hdb.sl.lib.utils.cmd.clazz.CmdClazzParameterFactory, parameters received. 
Start execution. Check HdbCmdOut.log and HdbStdout.txt for further information. 
Thu Aug 16 03:29:50 UTC 2018 | com.sap.hdb.core.main.cmd.HdbCmdMain | An error occured during command execution. 

Please check logfile for further information. Current Logfiles: [C:\Users\daani\AppData\Local\Temp\5\HDB_SL_Logfile.log,

If you open the logs, you will see below errors,

Cannot update package Python Runtime 
Installation of package Python Runtime failed
Extraction of package "Python Runtime" failed 
Cannot extract Python/DLLs/_ctypes.pyd: cannot create subdirectory \\itsiti: No such file or directory
Cannot update package Product Manifest

Solution

Stop the installation. Re-run the SWPM again with new option and when comes to the SAP HANA Client Software Installation Path, choose Local Client Directory.
