1. Call the System Landscape Maintenance (transaction SMSY) in your Solution Manager system. Select the Landscape Component Systems (select any system under SAP ECC). Then, choose System > Other Object.
2. Enter the system ID and choose Create New System, in the context menu.
3. Enter the system ID (for the new system that you wanted to generate the installation key) . Choose the Product SAP ECC, and the Product Version SAP ECC X.X or higher, from the possible entries help. Then, Save.
4. Choose the system that you have created in the SAP Solution Manager, in the previous step. Then, choose System > Other Object.
5. Choose Generate Installation/Upgrade Key (Key icon).
6. Enter the required data and choose Generate Key. The system displays the key.

You can generate the solution manager key via this script. Save it as FILE-NAME.vbs.
