MaxDB database or software with Version 7.7 or lower was not uninstalled correctly. Entries for this still exist in the environment or the registry. The corresponding services may still be registered. You want to delete these entries or registrations.
Prerequisites
1. You are using a Windows operating system.
2. You do not have any MaxDB software installed on the PC.
Solution
A tool, cleanup.exe was provided to delete entries no longer required in the environment or the registry, as well as to delete services that are no longer required. If some SAP DB software still exists on the host, the cleanup.exe terminates without deleting anything. You can download the cleanup.exe from SAP note 572836.
